So far so good on Sugar Busters! Down 2.6 so far and it's only Thursday! Yeah, I know I gained 5 on vacation (and 3 on the Frozen Food Diet the week before) so technically I have to drop 8 to get back to where I was over two weeks ago - But progress is slow and steady and I am happy with that. I was able to get 1/2 hour of general exercise in (sit-ups, arm circles, toe touches) today.
Breakfast: 1 cup grapefruit juice, 3/4 cup steelcut oatmeal
Snack: 1/2 cup applesauce
Lunch: 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese, 1/2 plain tuna on bed of lettuce with sliced tomatoes, 4 Triscuits
Dinner: Grilled burger with swiss cheese & pickles, small side salad ice tea
Snack: Sugar Free Cherry Jello
I just started listening to a new audio book "Twenty Wishes" by Debbie Macomber and the story got me thinking on why when we make lists of things we want - they always turn out to be GOALS. I'm not saying that GOALS aren't important - but aren't wishes too? We work towards GOALS - but as Disney says, A DREAM IS A WISH YOUR HEART MAKES....We do not get younger, we only grow older - but who says we have to GROW-UP?
Just because we are adults doesn't mean we can't still have wishes.
Why can't we make our own dreams come true. Losing weight is a GOAL... we dream of what we will look like thinner but in reality it is not a wish.
So what are your 20 wishes? To stand barefoot in a summer rain while the person you loves kisses you gently? Or is it buying something extravagant, visiting a far off land or being able to plant an award winning flower garden? Wishes can be anything that is not a goal, something so out of the box that it might seem silly to others - but it would make your life nd heart happy.
What happens after you make a list of wishes? When opportunity presents itself to pursue your wish GO FOR IT!!! Life is too short not to.
Think about it....I am...let me know yours and I'll post mine too (I have to get thinking about them!!!)
Have a wonderful night!!!
I HOPE ALL YOUR DREAMS AND WISHES COME TRUE!!
