Vacation....a great time to eat, drink and have fun.
Post Vacation....Regret that you ate and drank too, too much!
A 6 pound gain over the course of a week - not so great. But I am going to utilize these two weeks to get back on track and get back to were I was pre-vacation (or even less, I hope)
As I already told you, the one thing I really wanted to do (EPCOT Food & Wine) we didn't do - but we did eat and drink. Some favorites; Cracker Barrel Pecan Pancakes (YUMMY!!), T-Rex (sort of like RainForrest but with Dinosaurs) had a great roasted chicken & avocado sandwich on pizza bread here, Mexican (Casa Tina's in downtown Dunedin-Healthy Mexican restaurant...really good!!), Seafood (always good) and Greek (Flaming Cheese, Lemon soup, Gyro's, Charbroiled seafood)...plus all the usual junk food - popcorn, ice cream, etc...I really went overboard!
After the disappointment of not going to EPCOT, I sort of just didn't care. I know that is not an excuse - but all reason went out the window. We have done the Food & Wine Festival a few times and I always enjoyed it, the anticipation of having a gorgeous day walking around EPCOT and enjoying the sights, sounds, food & wine and just relaxing during vacation was pulled out from me/us - the let down made me angry and really just looking for something to fill the void. I just gave into eating what I wanted. I am now paying or it and now that the sugary junk haze is clearing from my eyes and the realization hit me that my hard work has put me back a couple of weeks - I am disappointed in my lack of restraint. I am disappointed that I let something that really is so petty get to me. It's not like we are never going to go to EPCOT again...
It is so easy to see how anger, disappointment, boredom, sadness and even happiness can lead to over eating. Time to get up and brush the crumbs off myself and move on. That was last week and I am re-focusing on the positive - - Getting back to eating right and exercising and NOT DWELLING ON WHAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY, LAST WEEK or LAST MONTH. Today (actually yesterday) was a new day to right the wrongs!
Breakfast: 1 pink grapefruit, 2 scrambled eggs, plain lemon zinger tea
Lunch: 2 Hard boiled eggs, sliced tomatoes (added a little salt & pepper)
Dinner: Sliced steak (pre-marinated in italian dressing), green olives, lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes, 1 pink grapefruit, cup of plain lemon zinger tea
I made a steak salad for dinner - I am stuffed!!!! Marinating the streak in the italian dressing really gave it some good flavor - I have done this with chicken before and jsut thought I'd give it a try with the steak - good move!!
I had to add a few pictures from our trip...Cinderella Castle at night during the Very Merry Christmas, cute topiary statues and chocolate bars with cute sayings:

Have a WONDERFUL NIGHT!!!!
